Want to drive a Capital Pedicab? Here’s a few things to do to get the process started.

    1. Schedule an appointment to be electronically fingerprinted by MOrpho Trust USA at one of their IdentoGo enrollment centers.
    2. You may begin the process now by simply clicking on this link: https://uenroll.identogo.com/servicecode/11GYVN
    3. Provide all required pre-enrollment data and select a convenient date and time for your appointment.
    4. Arrive at your schedule appointment with your photo ID and fee.
    5. MorphoTrust accepts Visa/MasterCard/Discover/AMEX/business checks/money orders at the time of service.
    6. Personal checks and cash are not accepted.
    7. Your fingerprints will be submitted electronically to the DPS and FBI. You will not receive a fingerprint card.
    8. At the conclusion of your appointment, the MOrphoTrust enrollment agent will provide you with an IdentoGo receipt stating that you were fingerprinted.
    9. Do not throw away the receipt.

  2. Go to www.texasonline.state.tx.us and get your driving record there. Be sure to get Certified List of All Accidents and Violations in Record (Type 3A).These documents must be presented to the City of Austin within 30 days of being issued, otherwise they become invalid.
  3. When you have your records, contact Capital Pedicab and make an appointment to meet with one of the managers to fill out an application. Bring your documents to that meeting.
  4. After that you will go to the City of Austin Ground Transportation office at 1111 Rio Grande with your documents and the signed and notarized  application and take the City of Austin pedicab chauffeur license test. You will receive your license that day and you are ready to start pedicabbing.
  5. Applicants must have a valid Texas driver’s license and be at least 18 years of age.
  6. Applicants with citations on their driving record within the past 3 years are required to take defensive driving in order to qualify for a chauffeurs permit.
