Help support Shellie’s ride in the MS150 to fight Multiple Sclerosis

I’m doing something about multiple sclerosis now and you can, too. Support me in my upcoming ride in the BP MS 150 on April 18-19. I will be riding my bike 182 miles from Houston to Austin for my fourth consecutive year to raise money and awareness for those struggling with MS and all those who have yet to be diagnosed. I especially ride in honor of my Mom and Uncle Joe who have been fighting MS for years.

The National MS Society believes that moving is not just something you can or can’t do, but rather is who you are. This is why they produce events like the BP MS 150 to raise funds for research, as well as comprehensive programs and services for people with MS moving closer to a world free of MS.

When you support the BP MS 150, you become a part of the powerful movement that will end MS forever.

I appreciate your support and will keep you posted on my progress.

Thank you for your consideration!

2008 Garrett’s KidStrong event.

The ’08 Garrett’s KidStrong ride, which is run in conjunction with the LiveStrong Challenge and utilizes Capital Pedicabs, was last weekend, and it was a great success. Nearly 50 special kids got the opportunity to ride and have a terrific day thanks to the people at KidStong and the Lance Armstrong Foundation. See the pics at the following links:

Hill Country Ride for AIDS and MS-150.

The annual Hill Country Ride for AIDS is soon approaching. Jo Ann and other pedicabbers will be participating. As usual, Capital Pedicab will match the donations made by Capital Pedicab operators to other Capital Pedicab operators who make the ride.

Meals on (pedicab) Wheels

Some Capital Pedicab drivers are donating their time to help deliver for Meals on Wheels on their pedicabs. Other riders are urged to participate. We hope to continue to expand our routes and participation. Other individuals are encouraged to support Meals on Wheels any way they can. Thanks-
